Sacramento Promised Safety, but Delivered Spare Change
Sacramento, CA – Prop 36 funding is falling short, leaving communities vulnerable and criminals walking the streets.
Prop 36 was supposed to make our neighborhoods safer. Great idea – if the state actually funded it. Instead, Sacramento gave it pennies and called it progress.
As our Governor sticks his finger in the wind to make decisions about your safety, the recent funding allocations for Prop 36 remain inadequate. With only $110 million promised as a one time payment, it falls far short of the estimated $400 million needed to implement Prop 36 and does not guarantee future funding.
This is a disservice to the residents of California who overwhelmingly voted in support of Prop 36.
Ed Musgrove isn’t playing that game. As a retired Sheriff’s Captain, he knows law enforcement, courts, and communities need real resources, not empty pockets and promises.
“You can’t fix mental health and addiction crises by checking a box. Prop 36 needs real funding, real accountability, and real results – or it’s just another broken promise from Sacramento,” stated Ed.
If California is serious about reducing crime, we need leaders who deliver, not politicians who cut corners. Join our team today and let’s send the fight to Sacramento.
